MLOD II: Rise of the Dragon Slayers Chapter 13
The D.H.A Part 2 The moment of silence continued for the next few minutes, as Raymond processed and thought about what to say next. “When did this happen?” He asked. “A week, I think, before I visited their home somewhere in Canada, where the battle happened.” I said. “That's where I learned of their deaths.” “It must have been quite the shock for you.” Raymond commented. “It was, though I had a feeling that something wasn't right. I was recovering from some kind of heart issue at the time, but every day I sat in the kitchen of my old house, hoping to see them again. It was around the time when they would usually come by my house but they never came. But I never would have thought something like this would happen.” “Things are only going to get worse unless someone does something about it, you know that right?” He asked. I nodded my head in agreement to his question, though I struggled to hide the fact that the dragons already had a plan to separate themselves from

The D.H.A Part 1 The trial went more smoothly than the last one I attended, but the end result was regrettably different. That was mostly in thanks to the testimony of not just my uncle, but also of Jacob who surprisingly was reliable in this case, and in the most unexpected way. According to his testimony Jacob said he was actually supposed to help the defendant, who we found out is named Fredrick, try to kill me. Hearing that from him, got me thinking he actually is sorry for his roll in Kyle and Sheri's death. He went on to explain to everyone, me and my dad included as we sat in the courtroom, that is why he was seeking me out, in hopes to avoid anyone getting hurt. For a moment I thought he only said that to get close to me and to earn my trust, but then I realized there would be much better ways to do so. For one he wouldn't willingly incriminate himself to the public by announcing himself as a friend to me. So far no one but him has willingly sided with me publicly, and the

The Wisdom and Playfulness of Dragons “Mystic heads up!” Flare called out as he threw a snowball at him. I was on the back of the Twilight prince when the snowball struck his face, and got a bit of snow on my coat when he shook it off his face. “Oh it's going to be like that is it?” Mystic asked with a smirk seeing Aquos behind him. “It's good having warm body and claws, it makes creating snowballs a little easier.” Flare said showing off. “We know, it also makes it easier to not hold back against you.” Mystic said nodding to Aquos who used his tail to send a small pile of snow on the back Flare's head. “Hey no fair!” Flare said looking to Aquos with an annoyed glare. His body, which began to glow brighter, was seen heating up as snow quickly evaporated from him. He also caused the snow on the ground to melt. “Flare be careful not to start a fire.” Spyro said seeing how fast the snow melted beneath the Fire prince. “Sorry Spyro, but I was being ganged up on, and it

A New Reality part 2 “Oh? What is it you found amazing?” Cynder asked. “Well I dreamed of this shinning crystal dragoness...” “So you talked to a strange person again,” Cynder sighed. “Nick I know you are a very trusting soul, especially when it comes to dragons, but you have to be careful.” “Cynder I was careful, I was nervous around her 'cause I didn't know her. But she knew about you and Spyro, I don't believe she meant me harm.” “Very well, what happened during your talk with her?” Cynder asked. “Well she told me...” My mind flashed back to the last moments of my talk with her, and I remembered a promise I had to keep. “Now you must promise me something small one.” She said. “What is it?” I asked her. “No matter how excited you get waking up, don't share this with anyone who resides in your own world. Not even your family, if they acquired this knowledge their lives would be in danger, and they would never be the same again. The knowledge of fantasy worlds with

A New Reality Part 1 “Hold on tight little ones!” Orcalion called to me and my family. Me and my sister were with the Fire Prince while our mom and dad were on the back of Orcalion, who really insisted on them riding with him as he had the crystal that radiated heat from it. Flare, being the Fire Prince, had power like the crystal Orcalion carried and was able to keep me and my sister warm. However as warm as Flare's body was it was a struggle to stay warm with the blistering cold winter winds that blew in the air. Me and my sister were being carried by the Fire Prince. Before the storm struck us we felt a strong gust of wind and that instantly sent my sister into a shivering state. Knowing that my sister, once we were in the sky, would not be able to hold onto Flare I asked him to hold her in his talons. She protested saying if she was going to be held Flare had to do the same with me. However I countered saying I would be fine on his back, and the only reason I wanted him to

The Journey The journey to what would be our new temporary home, was one that brought all of us further from our home town than what was originally planned. Thanks to the attack at my uncle's we were persuaded by Orcalion to stay low and not unpack. He went to scout out a place that was far from the sight of the interstate and other human eyes where we could stay secretly but within a good distance from the city in case we ever needed to go and get supplies. Before he left though Orcalion, along with probably Spyro and Cynder, sensed a storm coming and told us he would be here before the storm would hit. Before he left he was seen talking privately to Spyro and Cynder, making motions to us and the crystal he brought over. After he left I heard mom ask when the storm would arrive, to which Spyro, who was walking up to us with his mate, answered, “It will be here mid afternoon,” It was odd hearing that from anyone, even a dragon, for if you looked around the area as it

Trust “What?!” Drakal roared, infuriated by what his brother said. Draken, without diverting all his attention from the man, turned his head to partially look at his brother. “Wait what?!” I asked, being just as surprised as Drakal. “Brother you can't be serious, you're just letting him go free?! There is no chance he will turn his back on the one's he followed that easily!” “I must side with your brother on this one sire, given the chance this human will slip away.” The golden armored dragon said, moving beside Drakal. “No I won't I promise!” The man called out. My eyes widened as I remembered myself making the same promise to Kyle and Sheri about their homeland when I first met them, and the price one would pay if the promise was broken. The three dragons turned their eyes to the man, who gulped as Draken took a step towards him. “Are you sure you wish to make such a promise?” Draken asked. “For if you break it there will be a price to pay.” “W-What kind of a

The Unexpected Guest As lay unconsciously against the tree, with Spyro Cynder and the two prince dragons watching, a battle was waging inside my mind against the Darkness, which still sought to control my body. I was surrounded by a sea of darkness, and a dark voice was speaking, with belittling words, to me. “If it wasn't for you they would be alive!” The Darkness hissed. “You were always too weak to do what needed to be done, just surrender your mind to me, and spare yourself the agony that I can place upon your mind!” “Shut up, I'm not going to let you hurt my friends!” I yelled, covering my ears to the taunts he gave. “You think you can stop me, I've grown more powerful ever since you absorbed my essence into your body. You will be under my control one way or another; you just have to decide how much pain you want to be under before that happens!” “No you won't, I won't let you take control!” But even as I yelled, I felt myself struggling against the will of the Darkness. My

Chapter 2: Temptation I froze in place at the sound of the voice. “Bring them back? That’s impossible.” I said to the darkness. “Not in the Dragon Realms it isn’t.” It said back. “Nick?” My head jerked up to the sound of Spyro’s voice. “You okay?” “Oh ya, my mind traveled off somewhere.” “You were thinking about them again weren’t you?” I nodded my head in response. “I know you miss them Nick, but you have to try and move on. I’m sure that’s what they would want you to do.” “I know. I’ll try to.” I said with a sigh. But then my mind drifted back to what the voice in my head said. Is it really possible to bring them back? The very thought of bring them back filled my heart with joy. Then I could reunite them with their children and they could live safely and peacefully now that Ryan and those who were with his cause are gone. Then I remembered a lesson from the show Once Upon a Time, how some magic comes with a price. To bring them back I would most likely have to take at least

Part 4: Season 7 [2/2] Despite the close call that happened during the fourth episode a couple days ago, everyone seemed to remain cheerful. Even me and Taylor had a smile on our faces, as we were now down to the last three episodes, and Daenerys got her first major victory over Cersei. With the Lannister army in shambles it would seem that victory would be certain. At least some here believe that, however most know that in the world of Westeros nothing is certain. Still hopes were high that Daenerys would soon claim victory and would be able to rule Westeros, with her children still alive. The scar on my shoulder still gave me some discomfort even after the use of the healing crystals that night. Unfortunately one of the effects of the spell I placed on my close friends makes any damage they receive on the surface, a permanent one on my body in the same spot. It was because of this that I've been reminded to work on casting the lifeline-spirit spell faster. It didn't really surprise

Part 3: Season 7 [1/2] As the sun rose in morning of the Season 7 premiere, I opened my eyes to the sleeping face of Taylor. I smiled placing my hand on her shoulder, and running it down her arm.“Let's play a game.” She murmured in her sleep. I chuckled hearing her speak in her sleep. I turned so my back was against the bed, looking up at the ceiling. Despite my worries over the past few days, I began to feel a sense of ease and excitement over this season. Getting up and out from our bed I went to get myself cleaned up and proceeded out into the hallway, leaving a note on the door for Taylor that read: I'll be out in the fields, come and meet me when you're ready. As I came out into the hallway I saw Spyro and Cynder come out of their room, draped in their royal garments. “Good morning Spyro and Cynder.” I said with a cheerful voice. “Good morning Nick, you're in quite a cheerful mood this morning. Did you sleep well?” Asked Spyro. “I did, and I'm quite excited to be honest.” I

Part 2: Preparing for the Season Amaicia (A-May-see-a) The following morning, as the sun rose up from the sky, Spyro and Cynder awoke from their slumber. “Good morning Spyro,” Cynder said, smiling as she looked into her husbands eyes. “Morning Cynder, did you sleep well?” Spyro asked with a smile. “I did, what about you?” She asked in return. Spyro nodded his head in response before he stood up from the ground. Heading over to a fountain behind where they were sleeping, Spyro sat down and breathed a small amount fire upon it. With the water warmed up he scooped some of it in his claws and splashed some onto his face. After shaking the water off his face, some of which got onto Cynder, Spyro said, “This is going to be a very busy week, with Nick having his party coming up and him needing to train with Malefor using spirit magic.” Cynder stayed silent when Spyro mentioned the Dark Master's name, looking down in worry. Sensing Cynder's worry Spyro turned around and asked, “You okay

Part 1: Return from Pyrrhia
My heart raced as I returned with Taylor, Spyro, Cynder, Smaug and Gill from my friends in Pyrrhia. Eyes were looking down at us from the walls of Warfang, curious as to what might be going on. The fields outside the city were empty. All the guests that have come had since returned to their worlds, having to deal with some events happening in their world. Spyro told Gill to head back into the city, leaving the rest of them to deal with me.
Gill nodded and began walking towards the gates of Warfang. As he walked away however he looked back and gave me a slightly concerned look.

They did not hoard
some big stones with no use,
they did not bring
good luck all times they came,
they did not kill

did not befriend

They had no books,
they had no games,
they were just flesh and scales,
hatching and fighting,
mating and dying,
no gods,

we called them dragons
